You – The Purchaser (individual, company, organisation that is buying goods from AC Supply Ltd t/a screwsandfasteners)
We only accept orders for delivery in the United Kingdom.
In placing an order with us you confirm that you, and the person receiving delivery is over 18 years of age.
The placing of an order for goods offered on this website, whether through this website, electronically, by telephone or in person, shall be taken as your acceptance of, and agreement to, these terms & conditions. A contract will only come into force upon our acceptance of your order, and in the event of any conflict these terms & conditions will prevail.
When an online order is placed you will receive an email confirming receipt of the order.
Our acceptance of your order comes into effect upon despatch of goods to you.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these conditions.
English Law will apply to these terms & conditions.
All prices listed on this website are inclusive of v.a.t. (where it is applicable) unless explicitly stated otherwise.
We will send an invoice to you, accompanying delivery of goods and this will identify v.a.t. charges separately, and show our v.a.t. registration number.
While we continually endeavour to ensure that all products are priced accurately at all times on this website there may be an occasional error and we will not be bound to accept an order for erroneously priced products. Should such an occasion arise, where we have received an order for item/s that are erroneously priced we will contact you within 7 working days of receipt of your order to give you the option to cancel or revise your order.
If we are unable to supply in accordance with an order that has been placed, due to availability or price variations, or due to an error on the website, we reserve the right to cancel the contract. We will contact you within 7 working days of receipt of your order and offer to refund any monies paid. We will accept no responsibility for any loss or damage arising from the above.
Payment for goods can be made by major debit/credit cards or through Paypal. Processing & despatch of your order will take place once we have confirmation that payment has been made. For customers with credit accounts orders will be accepted subject to our standard terms and conditions for such accounts, copies of which can be supplied upon request.
The responsibility for loss, damage or deterioration to goods become yours upon delivery.
We will not be liable for any delivery delays or failures of any kind, which are due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as wars, strikes, terrorism, acts of God.
If goods are purchased for business use we will not be held liable for any directly or indirectly incurred losses, caused by any defect or unsuitability in goods supplied.
The full extent of our liability is limited to a refund in full.
We will make every attempt to be as accurate as possible but cannot warrant that product descriptions, images or other content of the website are accurate or free of errors. If a product is supplied and found not to be as described then return/collection will be arranged and payment will be refunded.
We will not accept liability for direct or indirect damages arising from use of this website.
Information given on this website, or given verbally by our agents is for guidance purposes only and it remains your sole responsibility to determine suitability of a product for its purpose.
We retain ownership of goods until payment is received in full.
Under normal circumstances we expect to despatch your complete order by the end of the weekday following receipt of your order. If we are unable to despatch your complete order within 3 working days we will contact you within that period and give you the option to cancel or amend your order, and we will refund any monies due.
Time & delivery will not be the essence of any contract and we will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising directly or indirectly from any failure to deliver by an agreed time and/or date.
We will only accept complete delivery addresses, with post-code.
Our standard delivery is usually next day from despatch. For highlands and islands this may extend to 2-3 days.
We may require a signature, by or on behalf of the purchaser, when making delivery.
If packaging appears to be damaged upon delivery you, or your agent, must check the contents thoroughly for any damage, loss or deterioration and either refuse the delivery completely or sign for it stating the exact nature of damages and losses, and to notify us with 1 working day, by telephone or e-mail, so that we can agree and organise refund/replacement.
In any case deliveries must be checked as soon as possible after receipt. Any damages or missing items must be reported to us in writing within 5 working days of receipt (preferably by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org ). We will not accept responsibility beyond this period.
We will replace missing or damaged items as soon as practicable and arrange collection of any damaged goods.
Consumers (who make purchases for use within your home) may cancel your order at any time prior to receipt of the goods and up to 14 working days after receipt, in accordance with distance selling regulations, by notifying us in writing (preferably by e-mail to email@example.com ) within that period. If you have received the goods prior to cancellation it is your responsibility to return them at your expense, in an unused and re-saleable condition, in the original packaging. Upon receipt of the goods we will arrange refund.
Purchases made for business & commercial purposes are not subject to the Distance Selling Act and cancellation will not be accepted once goods have been delivered.
Most hand tools and power tools available on this site are covered by manufacturer’s warranty. The warranty periods vary and the processes for dealing with warranty claims vary. Many products have accompanying documentation which explains what to do if you have a claim. Please bear in mind that manufacturer’s warrantees will cover for faulty workmanship and materials but not for wear and tear or suspected mis-use of a product.
Consumable products, such as fixings and drill bits are not covered by manufacturer’s warranty.
If you wish to make a claim then call or e-mail and we will advise.
If it is required that you return goods to us in order to make a claim then it is your responsibility to ensure the item/s are received by us in a condition that we can, in turn, return the item/s to the manufacturer for inspection and refund, repair or replacement.
In the process of making a transaction with us you will provide personal and information that we will use to process your payment and to validate your identity. We assure you that the information will be treated confidentially and securely and in accordance with Data Protection Act 1998.
